Credit Controller

Credit Controller (VC4026) Pickering, England

Castle Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for an experienced, self-motivated Credit Controller to join the Finance Team of an exciting global brand based near Pickering, North Yorkshire.

As an integral member of the team you will be a strong team player, with a “can do” hands on attitude and the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload. Working knowledge of ERP systems would be an advantage as would strong IT skills including MS Excel.

Requirements:

For the successful Credit Controller, we are looking for experience in the following areas:

  • Senior credit control in a high volume transaction environment
  • The issuing of invoices and statements
  • Ensure that customers are chased in a timely and courteous manner
  • Cash posting and ledger reconciliation
  • Reconciling Inter group balances at month end
  • Proactively communicate with key internal teams
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting of aged debtor and overdues to the Finance Manager
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel. Knowledge of Microsoft AX
  • The ability to problem solve and deal effectively with resolving customer queries
  • The ability to work with accuracy, attention to detail and with good organisational skills
  • Knowledge of self-billing, EDI and Automotive OEM experience an advantage
  • Previous experience of working in a high volume transaction environment
  • Aged Debtor reporting
  • Escalate late payment or extraordinary issues to the Finance Manager

  • A confident communicator across all channels and levels able to build relationships with key stakeholders across the business
  • Previous experience of Credit Control / Sales ledger 
  • A strong team player; able to liaise with internal and external customers
  • Diligent and methodical with the ability to solve problems and create solutions
