Castle Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for a Chartered Accountant to work in a thriving private practice based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. A fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and ambitious individual who wants to make a real impact to drive the business forward.

As a practice accountant your day to day duties will include:

• Working alongside the Partners to develop key strategies for the business moving forward
• Supporting a range of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Meeting with clients on a regular basis; building long term business relationships
• Working on site with clients taking them through their accounts, fact finding and carrying out audits where required
• Involvement with the wider business and becoming an integral part of the team and local business community

To be considered for this exciting Chartered Accountant role, you will:

• Be ACCA/ACA Qualified or part-qualified with recent experience of working in practice
• Have a thorough understanding of the UK Tax system including VAT
• Be able to produce detailed accounts for a variety of businesses including; sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Be well organised, methodical in your approach and have good attention to detail
• Maintain a high-quality presentation of work
• Be competent using QuickBooks/Sage/Xero/SAP/IRIS/Excel/manual record keeping
