Castle Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant to cover a maternity leave for a highly regarded organisation based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated Management Accountant to join a supportive team who work collaboratively across the organisation.  

Key responsibilities for the Senior Management Accountant will include but are not limited to:

• Management of a small team of finance assistants
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Assist with the preparation of revenue and capital budgets by preparing schedules, collating data and drawing budgets together, in liaison with stakeholders as necessary.
• Providing financial information, analysing expenditure and forecasting
• Provide the Finance Manager with all relevant details for the completion of statutory returns, and complete returns as necessary.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and carry out financial appraisals.
• Ensure that all reasonable requests from other departments for information and assistance are met, including the production of reports and advice on financial matters.

To be considered for this Senior Management Accountant position and be successful in post, you will need the following:

• CIMA/ACCA/ or ACA qualification or qualified through equivalent experience
• Previous experience within charity/public sector
• Ability to set own deadlines and work without supervision
• Previous managerial experience
• Strong systems knowledge including advanced Excel
