Operations Accountant:

Castle Employment are looking for a confident, experienced Operations Accountant to work for one of the region’s most prestigious manufacturing businesses based in Malton, North Yorkshire. Working as an Operations Accountant you will be responsible for supporting continuous improvement plans in an exciting, challenging, hands on role which will allow you to work closely with key stakeholders across the business; challenging the status quo and shaping new processes.

• This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has attained or close to attaining their CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualification
• With a strong drive and a can- do attitude, you will be a team player able to support both internal and external customers in an efficient, professional manner
• Experience built within a manufacturing background is essential, ideally within food manufacturing

Requirements:

This role will suit a flexible and committed Operations Accountant who is looking to build on and enhance their existing finance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Duties will include; 

• Building stakeholder relationships to review and analyse process improvements
• Daily/Weekly reporting of labour and yield
• PAYE and VAT
• Monthly P&L reporting to include all costs
• Balance Sheet management and reconciliations
• To provide management information as requested and be able to develop new reporting

The successful candidate for the Operations Accountant role will:

• Possess a high degree of computer literacy - including MS Excel to an advanced level
• Have previous experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment ideally FMCG
• Have excellent communication skills with the ability to resolve queries at all levels
• Have the ability to identify process flaws and solutions
• Hold or be actively close towards completing CIMA / ACCA qualification or equivalent
