Castle Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a fast-paced finance team near Goole, East Yorkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated candidate to join an organisation which continues to experience fast and sustained growth. Due to this continued growth, our client is looking for a candidate seeking progression and in return they will offer a competitive salary along with study options. Ideally, you will be currently studying your CIMA or ACCA qualification.
Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, you will gain exposure and invaluable experience in the day to day operations of a busy manufacturing organisation.
The successful candidate will already have gained strong experience in a finance environment. Experience in a manufacturing environment will be advantageous.
Reporting in to the Financial Controller your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting Financial Controller with general finance functions including the preparation of month-end
- Monitoring T&A system, ensuring they are kept up to date across all departments
- Updating and reconciliation of the company cashbook
- Process expenses and manage queries
- Fixed asset register
- Assisting Financial Controller with statutory financial reporting
- Ad hoc duties as required by the Financial Controller
To be considered for this exciting Finance Assistant opportunity, you will:
- Be methodical and organised with excellent attention to detail
- Have a minimum of two years accounts office experience
- Be currently studying towards CIMA/ACCA
- Be a confident user of Excel and have previous experience working with large data sets
- Experience using Sage would be advantageous
