Finance Assistant

Finance Assistant (VC4910) York, England

Salary: Dependant on experience

Castle Accountancy and Finance are recruiting for a self-motivated Finance Assistant to join a growing team operating from within an education environment near York. You will be supporting the Finance Manager and Director in the completion of all transactional finance functions.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has had previous experience in a finance based, multi-skilled role and wanting to develop further. Day to day responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 

  • Processing of purchase invoices
  • Management of the purchase and sales ledger
  • Creating paying runs
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with basic entry and month end
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Administrative duties

 

The successful candidate will have:

 

  • Access to their own vehicle as the role requires some local travel
  • Previous experience working in a busy office environment
  • Excellent IT and communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and organisation
  • Previous customer service experience

 

Previous experience of a finance role within the education sector would be advantageous.
