Castle Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for a confident, experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk for an immediate start to work for a successful manufacturing and construction business based in Bridlington, East Yorkshire. Initially working on a temporary basis, you will be supporting the established finance team as a Purchase Ledger Clerk with longer term opportunities available for the right candidate

  • This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk who can hit the ground running

 

Requirements:

This role will suit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk who is looking to build on and enhance their existing finance experience in a fast-paced environment. Duties will include; 

  • Processing a high volume of supplier invoices
  • Ensuring invoices are coded and posted to the correct nominal ledger codes, cost centres and departments where applicable.
  • Ensure that all invoices are approved prior to payment
  • Monthly supplier statement reconciliations
  • BACS runs
  • Processing and reconciling expenses, petty cash and credit card statements
  • Ad hoc finance admin and reporting as required

 

The successful candidate for the Purchase Ledger Clerk role will:

  • Possess a high degree of computer literacy - including MS Excel
  • Recent experience of using Sage 50 /200 on a daily basis
  • Have previous experience of working in a fast-paced high volume environment
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to resolve queries at all levels
  • String attention to detail and accuracy
  • Have a confident “can do” attitude
