Credit Controller

Credit Controller (VC6780) Pickering, England

Castle Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy finance team based near Pickering, North Yorkshire.

Initially this role is an interim position and our client is looking for a candidate who can be available as soon as possible, however a permanent opportunity could be available for the right person.

The successful Credit Controller will report into the Financial Controller and key responsibilities will include:

  • The setting up of credit accounts and negotiating payment plans
  • Ensure that customers are chased in a timely and courteous manner via telephone and email
  • Cash collection, posting and reconciliation
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting of aged debtor and overdues
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel
  • Carrying out credit check when required
  • Working to clearly defined daily deadlines
  • Previous experience of working in a high-volume transaction environment

To be considered for this high-volume Credit Controller position, you will need the following:

  • The ability to problem solve and deal effectively with resolving customer queries
  • The ability to work with accuracy, attention to detail and with good organisational skills
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
