Castle Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for a fully ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified Management Accountant to join a prestigious manufacturing business based in East Yorkshire. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious, self-motivated qualified Accountant with industry experience or a first-time mover from private practice.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, working as part of a small, close knit finance team, you will be involved in the day to day running of all the financial aspects of the business including payroll, banking and reconciliations, recording and payment of invoices, company credit cards and purchase orders. You will also be involved with strategic planning for the organisation alongside members of the senior leadership team.

Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and year end accounts
• Review and submission of monthly intra-stat and EC sales lists
• Preparing monthly Board packs and KPI reporting for senior management
• Preparation of monthly VAT return and reconciliation to the general ledger
• Processing of weekly payroll and statutory returns
• Review of sales ledger, invoice ledger, payroll, petty cash, bank reconciliation and processing company expenses carried out by members of the team
• Involvement with budget setting and liaising with senior colleagues
• Maintain good daily routines to ensure the smooth running of the organisation
• Liaising with external auditors

To be considered for this exciting Management Accountant role, you will:

• Be ACCA / ACA /CIMA qualified with either previous experience in industry or within a practice environment
• Be confident and professional when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
• Possess good IT skills, including intermediate Excel
• Have strong attention to detail with excellent technical accounting knowledge
• Be proactive, self-motivated and able to work well as part of a team
