Castle Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for a self-motivated Accounts & Office Manager to provide the finance and office support for a growing food business based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. This exciting role of Accounts & Office Manager will encompass the following;
- Working in a fast-paced environment
- Responsibility for managing payroll including, P45, P11d, pension and statutory payments
- General ledger – coding, matching, posting, payment runs
- Processing Expenses and managing petty cash
- Sales Ledger – Including ensuring that accounts are operated within agreed terms
- Responsibility for the Weekly and Month end management accounts process
- Prepare journals
- Daily bank transaction postings and reconciliations
- Preparing online banking payments as required
- Maintaining accounts information and providing data analysis
- Prepare year-end information
- General administration, fielding queries via phone and email
- Organising logistics requirements for the business
- Liaising with external suppliers
- Supporting one direct report

The Candidate:
The successful Accounts & Office Manager will have:
- AAT Level 4 or above; or be qualified by equivalent relevant experience
- Previous experience of working as the main contact for finance
- Excellent Computer and technology skills including MS Office; particularly strong Excel skills
- Be familiar with accounting software such as Xero, Sage etc.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for accuracy and detail
- Confident communication skills with a professional telephone manner to deal with customers and suppliers
- Willingness and flexibility to support wider tasks arising within a small team including
- Supporting the Managing Director with administrative duties when necessary
- Be a real team player with the desire to further develop skills as the business continues to grow
