My client is a leading Solutions Provider is looking for a SCCM Engineer, responsible for supporting and expanding their SCCM estate through proactive management and streamlining of patching, application deployment and compliance processes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure SCCM is optimised through regular performance tuning and maintenance plans
- Ongoing Patch management for MS Client and Server Operating Systems
- Standardise the application packaging and deployment process, including removal of legacy software
- Provide scheduled and ad-hoc compliance reporting
- Define, document and improve secure-build process for Laptops and PC’s (managed desktop deployments)
- Provide support with event management and log management
- Provide support of endpoint monitoring and analytics
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Advanced knowledge of System Centre Config Manager (2012 R2 onwards), including reporting and task sequencing
- Good overall knowledge of Windows Server products
- Familiarity with related patching, deployment and security technologies, including MSI, ORCA & AppLocker
- Active Directory and associated management tools, including Group Policy.
- PowerShell scripting
- Custom SQL report writing for SCCM (desirable)
- Familiarity with other System Centre products, including Operations Manager (SCOM) (beneficial)
- Knowledge of event management and/or log management systems such as LogRhythm or similar (beneficial)
- Experience with vulnerability assessment systems and CVE remediation (desirable)
- Ability to identify alternative methods of working and make sound recommendations for improvements
