Salary: GBP31 - GBP35 per hour

An attractive opportunity has arisen in Somerset for a enthusiastic Children's Social Worker's to join a progressive local authority. Somerset Council are looking to cover a long term contract at a minimum of 6 months at very attractive rates of pay in a supportive team. 31-35ph for experienced candidates. 1 social worker required for Yeovil.

You will join a team committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The role will focus on short term pieces of work that take cases following initial assessment through formulation of a CIN/CP plans. You will be required to assess, identify, plan, implement and review the circumstances of individuals and their families and the needs.

Duties will involve assessing and managing risk and advocating on behalf of children and their families. To help manage caseloads, you will have an assigned number of cases (reduced case loads of 14-17) and be expected to work closely with individuals, families and communities to help them make informed decisions, enabling them to clarify and express their needs and contribute to service planning. Furthermore, you will competently undertake court work and work collaboratively with other agencies to deliver better outcomes and contribute to practice development.
