An exciting opportunity has arisen for a children's experienced social worker/ advanced practitioner to join South Kesteven's FAST Team in Grantham. This role integrated Child Protection, assessment and Support to provide the best possible outcomes for children, young people and their families. You will benefit from a very competitive hourly rate and have the opportunity to work rurally.

The FAST implements assessments and long term family support services, covering child in need and child protection. This team compiles assessments and offers ongoing support through all stages of social care. The team primarily undertakes assessments as defined by Section 17 (Child In Need assessments) and Section 47 (Child Protection assessments) of The Children Act 1989. Furthermore, following assessment, social workers may progress the case to an Initial Child Protection Conference, initiate court proceedings, accommodate a child into care, recommend that a more detailed assessment is undertaken, arrange for the case to be picked up by a “Team Around the Child” (TAC) or close the case.

With your recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW) and HCPC registration, you will use your two years plus post qualifying experience to make a significant contribution to the team.
