An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Social Worker/Care Worker to join a Leaving Care Team based in Peterborough. This role is full time and is a perfect opportunity to put placement experience into practice. This role is also suitable if you have relevant experience in an unqualified role.
As a Leaving Care Worker you will bridge the gap for children in care between leaving care and living in the adult world. You will help young people to develop the life skills they will need to look after themselves, including encouraging them to undertake employment, training or further education. When they leave, you will help the young people secure permanent accommodation and remains available to offer support and counselling if necessary.
