Position Overview
Mentor Graphics seeks a highly motivated technologist with the capability and desire to make a significant contribution to the IC design and manufacturing industry. This latest addition to our world class team will support the creation and market introduction of new solutions in the Calibre product line focusing on the area of power analysis.

The responsibilities of this position will include helping to define market requirements for a next-generation power analysis tool and working collaboratively with software developers to implement a solution that addresses those market needs. This individual will work with key customers to understand current and future needs as well as work cross functionally with other product groups to develop a solution that will establish Mentor Graphics as a key solution provider in this market. The role requires a strong engineering background, excellent analytical capabilities, and strong communication skills to describe product requirements to software development teams as well as articulate the value of Calibre solutions to customers and field product specialists.

The TME position at Mentor Graphics involves requirements gathering, prototyping, testing, leading/supporting beta programs, and driving product adoption. The role involves close collaboration with customers, product marketing and software engineering. Responsibilities include providing in-depth technical support and training to our customers, defining and characterizing new product capabilities necessary to meet customer requirements, and managing the interface between development and the customer. The candidate should possess deep technical knowledge of circuit design, process modeling and emerging requirements at new process nodes.


Job Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:
•BS degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field is required.  MS degree is preferred.
•Must have 3+ years of experience in integrated circuit design, custom or semi-custom integrated circuit layout, or physical verification, extraction, and manufacturability (e.g. Calibre DRC/LVS/xRC).
•Practical experience implementing timing, signal integrity or power analysis solutions is a must.
•Knowledge of leading edge Integrated Circuit Process technologies.
•Hands-on experience with static and dynamic circuit simulation
•Experience with device and interconnect modeling applications/methodologies
•Prior experience with CAD scripting languages: Perl, Tcl/Tk, Skill, Scheme, etc.
•Knowledge of industry data formats and concepts such as LEF/DEF, OpenAccess, Liberty, and Verilog
•Proven ability to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders to define and drive priorities among and within projects
•Ability to synthesize and formulate broad, high-level functional requirements into concrete product specifications
•Strong customer interaction and presentation skills
•Willingness to travel
