The System Level Engineering (SLE) product division is Mentor’s emerging technologies group. Their goal is to research, design, develop and introduce brand new innovative products into the industry. This group of talented engineers is on the forefront of next generation EDA related tools and work directly with customers to define and implement future products.
This Software Engineer will join a team focusing on our new SystemVision product. SystemVision is a schematic- and HDL-driven modeling, simulation and analysis environment for mixed analog/digital electronics and multi-physics systems.
•Design, development, maintenance of schematic/HDL based GUI environment
•Design, development, maintenance of mixed-signal simulation and analysis tools
•Develop test plans, manage and perform QA tasks – allocate, distribute & collate test
•Participate in scheduling and estimation of tasks, and assist in defining and developing software development best practices.
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:
•Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer/Software Engineering or Computer Science is required. Preference for a Masters or PhD
•Must have 2-5+ years of professional experience in the design, development, maintenance and testing of complex C++ software applications
•2+ years experience developing and managing test plans and performing other QA related tasks – allocate, distribute & collate
•Must have knowledge and experience developing schematic/HDL based GUI environments for large software tools
•Strong experience and interest in user-interface design, user-experience design
•Understanding of constructing design flows and tool chains
•Experience in scripting, especially to control tools and manipulate data
•Experience with regression tests, and GUI-testing tools
Preferred experience (not required)
•Experience with the design, development, maintenance of mixed-signal simulation and analysis tools along with schematic-driven simulation environments
•Knowledge of electronic design data, data models and databases
•Knowledge and interest in simulation and analysis of electronics and/or other systems
