Overview - The Vice President of Americas Marketing reports to Hudson’s Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO).  With a team of five marketing professionals, this individual will drive and manage all strategic and tactical marketing initiatives for the Hudson business in the Americas and will develop the plan for, and lead the execution of the company’s corporate communications efforts and employee messaging. Primary areas of responsibility include brand, thought leadership, market positioning, marketing communications, public and investor relations, event management, marketing and sales programs, market intelligence, online marketing, CRM and lead generation.  This individual will work closely with business leaders, consultants and recruiters.
 
Position Summary - Marketing Strategy and Planning

Establish strategic marketing priorities and build the annual plan and budget
Work collaboratively with business leaders through the planning and prioritization process.
 
Brand Development, Thought Leadership and Brand Stewardship

  • Build the Hudson brand and positioning;  drive brand awareness and consistency
    Craft compelling, consistent branding and messaging for multiple internal and external audiences, including the investor community
  • Determine content strategy, develop thought leadership initiatives, and differentiate the brand and the business through compelling intellectual property and content initiatives

Marketing Program and Event Management

  • Create marketing programs involving thought leadership that drive leads and revenue
  • Manage events, speaking engagements and event sponsorships, including event design, creative implementation and logistics

Marketing Communications and Public Relations

  • Develop effective marketing collateral, sales tools and pitch materials designed to articulate and promote Hudson’s positioning, as well as product solution value propositions
  • Manage Public Relations efforts and work closely with PR agencies
  • Drive effective communication to the investor community

Digital Marketing, Demand Generation and CRM

  • Leverage the internet and other forms of digital and social media to enhance brand awareness, drive leads and deepen client and candidate relationships
  • Conduct direct marketing (including targeting, messaging, testing, response rate optimization across channels)
  • Implement CRM programs primarily focused on driving revenue through lead conversion


People Management - Lead, build and integrate a team of high impact marketing professionals.

Process Improvement - Develop processes and metrics that track the effectiveness and increase efficiencies of the marketing function.

Qualifications - B2B Services Experience

  • 10+ years B2B Services experience , professional services experience a plus (recruitment and legal especially desired)
  • Experience working in a global organization and with individuals from different cultures
  • Experience working closely with a Sales organization
  • Degree in Marketing, advanced degree preferred

Effective Brand and Communications Management

  • Proven success in building and growing a differentiated brand
  • Strong internal and external communications leadership experience
  • Significant experience leading digital initiatives with success in online marketing, content creation and effective use of social media

Effective Communicator and Consensus Builder

  • Experience working with divergent client opinions to build cross-organizational consensus and provide marketing thought leadership
  • Good listener, creative and open to new ideas

Proven Team Leadership

  • 5+ years’ experience in a leadership capacity
  • Proven people management and career development track record
  • Agency experience:  working with creative, media, web marketing, and communications agencies

Financial Management and Technical Skills

  • Ability to establish and manage budgets accurately on an ongoing basis
  • High level of technical skills including Powerpoint and Excel
  • Strong results orientation
  • Player/coach – willing to work as well as manage
