Drive the transformation of technologies used by the service group in New York Life’s annuity business. Work may include projects to improve or overhaul any or all of the following systems: • Annuity Application Process: The online and paper-based processes used by both external brokers and internal life-insurance agents to apply for annuity products • Phone Systems: Computer-telephony Interface (CTI) and voice-over-IP (VOIP) systems, including workforce-optimization tools, used to drive efficiency and better customer service • Admin Systems: The internal systems that house our customer and product records • Workflow Systems: The systems our service reps use to process customer requests • Salesforce & Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Tools: The systems our sales and service people use to track sales opportunities and applications in the pipeline • Customer Web Sites: The web sites our customer use to check books of business, print policies, change addresses, name new beneficiaries, etc. Requirements: Key work skills: • Process Mapping: Map & improve processes • Requirements-Gathering: Write requirements and work with the technology group to convert those requirements into technical specs and development plans. • Project Management: Manage and launch projects (e.g., project plans, timelines & schedules, budgets, tech specs, application development, test plans, training, communications, etc.) • Cloud-Based Integrations: Integrate cloud-based services into our legacy systems via real-time data transfers, APIs and web-based tools.

• 5+ years of project management and/or business analyst experience • Extensive experience managing & launching large projects • Strong working knowledge of: o PC, client/server, and network environments o Web and mobile development platforms, such as Java, HTML5, “responsive design,” etc. o Web-based application and shopping-cart processes o Cloud-based CRM systems, especially Salesforce o Integrating with cloud-based systems via APIs and data extracts • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. • Experience managing vendor relationships • Excellent written and presentation skills • Strong customer service and relationship-management skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management • Self starter, strategic thinker, team player, excellent analytical skills • Financial services experience and experience working with intermediary sales forces a plus
