SUMMARY
The Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for coordinating infrastructure related projects,
performing the detailed planning, and managing project execution and completion of moderate or large
infrastructure type projects.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES (include but are not limited to):
? Defines the phase deliverables, tracks milestones and incurred expenses versus planned
expenses, schedules roles and resources, evaluates risks and recommends contingency plans.
? Manages the development and technical strategy of each stage of the project
? Assigns resources and tasks, and manages quality assurance, resolution of issues, status reviews
and reporting, development of standards, change control, customer support, and compliance
with all policies and procedures.
? Generally leads a group of technical resources and other IT technical staff, relying on experience
and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
? Works with many departments within the organization, these professionals ensure business
information is secure and accessible so business operations run efficiently.
? Works to consistently improve IT infrastructure, an IT infrastructure project manager's
responsibilities include developing and maintaining policies and procedures, ensuring projects
are completed within budget guidelines and maintaining best practices for an organization's
infrastructure.
? Oversee and manage all technical projects related to infrastructure, and work closely with top
executives of the organization to recommend initiatives that may improve business
infrastructure and report progress.
? Customer Interface
o Performs detailed planning, project execution management and completion of
moderate or large projects
o Defines the phase deliverables
o Tracks milestones and incurred expenses versus planned expenses
o Schedules roles and resources
o Evaluates risks and recommends contingency plans
o Manages the development of the technical strategy
o Assigns resources and tasks
o Manages quality assurance, resolution of issues, status reviews and reporting
o Oversees development of standards, change control, customer support, and compliance
with all policies and procedures
o Follow up with key clients regularly throughout the issue resolution process to provide
smooth communication
o Provide timely and comprehensive status reports that maintain service level agreements
o Provide up-to-date information to clients in response to specific inquiries
o Develop follow up methodology for commitments prior to requested date
o Provide advance notifications to management regarding potential issues before they
occur
? Communication
o Facilitate effective two-way communication with staff members and management
o Attend weekly staff meetings and provide input on status reports
o Document issue resolutions clearly and accurately
? Security and Safety
o Adhere to all basic security and safety standards according to Customer’s requirements
? Personnel
o Attend performance planning sessions with the PMO

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
? Bachelor’s degree in a related area, preferably Computer Science or five years of equivalent
experience.
? Have relevant certifications for the skills/infrastructure/service area/domain, i.e. PMP
certification.
? PMP Certification – highly desired
? ITIL Certification or experience preferred
Experience:
? Three (3) years’ experience leading a project team
? Experience providing technical support for IT infrastructure and operations support
? Strong experience as a project manager, leading diverse infrastructure projects from infant
stage through completion – KEY
? Strong background with Microsoft Technologies
? Direct practical IT experience as systems administrator and network administrator preferred
? Working experience planning and organizing IT infrastructure/system projects

o Possesses experience in the overall responsibility for structuring a project
o Possess a proven track record in managing infrastructure related projects, i.e. network,
security, data center, enterprise server and storage, printers, infrastructure applications,
