Linux Engineer

Linux Engineer Summary:

Signature Consultants has an opportunity for a Linux Engineer.  Our client is in need of an Engineer who is well-versed in the Linux Engineering space. The resource must be able to understand RC file system, basic Linux services (any flavor of Linux is ok), configure patches, basic understanding of Posix architectures such as RC files, run levels, BIN, etc. In this role the candidate will lead the development of long-term vision, strategy, and roadmaps for hosted storage services across the organization in conjunction with company objectives, working closely with operations, application developers and engineers to develop scalable, maintainable, highly available storage architectures that meet business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience with Nginx
  • Mid-level skills with any Linux flavor (Redhat, Suse, etc.)
  • Deep skill set and understand of networking including routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
  • Experience with storage tools is a plus
  • Financial experience is a plus
