Skills: Administer, Design and Architect Windows and UNIX server environments using industry best practice solutions that meet the need of the business.
This individual will deploy, maintain, monitor and support all Windows infrastructure-related activities of the organization. The System Administrator must have experience building and configuring Windows and UNIX systems (hardware, software, file systems), work closely with other departments to identify, recommend, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions in a project oriented environment. Manage a shared ticket queue of daily system requests.
Primary technologies include: All Microsoft Server Operating Systems - Server 2003 / Server 2008, Microsoft Active Directory, SQL, Citrix, VMWare ESXi and Microsoft Clustering, Strong IIS6 / IIS7, VMWare, DNS; UNIX flavors include Red Hat, Solaris, AIX, Centos, and Oracle Linux.
This individual will design, deploy, maintain, monitor and support all Production Windows and UNIX/Linux infrastructure-related activities of the organization. The Senior System Administrator must have experience reconfiguring systems (hardware, software, file systems), work closely with other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
� Design, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all Windows and UNIX/Linux servers, hardware, software and peripherals.
� Design, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all VMWare systems.
� Benchmark, analyze and report on the Windows and VMWare infrastructure and systems.
� Practice asset management for Windows hardware, software and equipment and ensure that asset management policies are adhered to by the team.
� Act as member of a ticket queue system to address and resolve day to day support requests from the business.
� Expert knowledge of All Microsoft operating systems.
� Strong technical knowledge of Citrix, VMWare ESX / ESXi and Virtual Center.
� Strong technical knowledge of current network principals, protocols and standards.
� Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning, performance monitoring and development.
� Familiar with applicable data privacy practices and laws.
� Strong understanding of project managements principles.

� Good understanding of MS Windows architecture and system level resources.
� Solid understanding and application of web services, SOAs, data base performance and networking
� Solid understanding of UNIX/Linux Operating Systems - Red Hat, Solaris, AIX, Oracle Linux
� Solid design and build experience of reference implementations of components and interfaces with new technologies
� Solid understanding of currently used UNIX/Linux files systems - EXT2,3, GFS, NFS, XFS
� Performance Tuning, optimization, and advanced troubleshooting of systems Issues
� Strong Bash shell scripting, Perl etc.
� Knowledge in Various Backup/Recovery Methodologies and Strategies
� Familiarity with various tools and methods for administering the Unix Systems infrastructure
� Deep & broad knowledge of full range of distributed messaging, email, active directory, middleware, application integration, web services, collaboration, knowledge & content management, systems management and related operating
� System & supporting hardware and software technologies, architectural principles, design standards and options
� Deep Technical knowledge of infrastructure services systems management and monitoring tools
� Deep Technical knowledge of commonly used hardware and software products
� Must possess a strong knowledge of vendor community for full range of infrastructure services architectures including but not limited to distributed messaging, email, DNS, middleware, application integration, web services, collaboration, knowledge & content management, systems management and related operating system & supporting technologies along with broad knowledge of security best practices and intrusion detection and protection techniques and methodologies

� Solid experience in designing for critical areas of security, performance, capacity and maintainability
� Experienced with hardware and peripheral installation, maintenance.
� Experience in automation and scripting required.
