Senior Project Manager Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Senior Project Manager for an opportunity in Charlotte, NC. The Senior Project Manager will assist in managing all project stakeholders to eliminate surprises and provide transparency to workstream inter-dependencies, issues, risks, and status. Leading by example, he/she will inculcate program governance and delivery routines to reduce execution risk and improve project integration with all workstreams. 

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the adoption of change by planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling HR projects using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure efficient and effective project completion.
  • Serves as primary contact to senior department managers for critical change initiatives.
  • Communicates effectively both vertically and horizontally to obtain agreement between partners.
  • Responsible for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation.
  • Drive appropriate change management rigor across the functional and technical workstreams (including all core CM competencies - issue/risk management, financial management, interdependency management, stakeholder/engagement management, schedule/milestone management, etc.)
  • Creates a clear, coherent approach to guide effective program/initiative setup, execution and control.
  • Manages scope to ensure agreed/approved/appropriate value is delivered and commitments are achieved within time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Responsible for clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities for key project roles.
  • Directs all of the project lifecycle and works with matrix partners to oversee all phases of the project.
  • Will partner with the Program Manager and other project leads, key stakeholders and business SMEs, as well as technology and vendor resources.
  • Identifies, develops and executes strategies and supporting tactics to engage and influence all stakeholders to make needed behavioral changes.
  • Ensures transparency to key stakeholders, sponsor and champion.
  • Assesses the adoption risk associated with the change effort and manages project risk by understanding the impact of the work on the end to end processes within the Global Human Resources organization and the impacted down-streams.
  • Accountable for managing and analyzing issues and risks, developing alternative approaches/mitigation plans and facilitating implementation or removal of roadblocks across partners.
  • Communicate risks and rewards associated with decisions and actions to stakeholders in business-oriented terms and ensure all controls are in place to sustain risk mitigation.
  • Identifies and makes recommendations regarding work that will potentially proceed, be delayed or stopped when environment changes occur.
  • Accountable for the change and project management processes that support the project.
  • Represents the project in various governance and inter-department forums.
  • Effectively communicate with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed.
  • Partner with the business to develop and transition plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain the change.
  • Facilitate end-user testing, implementation and training
  • Ensure adherence to all internal change and project management processes / deliverables and maintain status in the enterprise change source system (PPR Tool)
  • This role may manage a team of resources and budget as well.

Required Skills:

  • 10 or more years of project management experience with strong leadership presence.
  • Experience working on large scale, complex testing efforts, and implementations with multiple deployments, and data conversions
  • Prior consulting experience and use of Six Sigma process
  • Business centric mindset with ability to utilize sound judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal business outcomes
  • Ability to manage a project in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and drive to results
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Analytic and presentation skills; ability to synthesize data into actionable reports and communicate concepts
  • A creative, strategic thinker with a very strong practical viewpoint – must be willing to roll up sleeves and operate in a lean team environment
  • Ability to drive cross-divisional coordination, communication, influence and negotiation
  • Self-motivation, self-direction, organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities without sacrificing quality or time lines
  • Effectively deals with ambiguity and adapts to changing circumstances
  • Deep knowledge of the project delivery life-cycle
  • Proficiency's in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) required.

Desired Skills:

  • Human Resources product and process knowledge and experience
  • Project management certification (e.g. PMI, Six Sigma) or equivalent experience
  • Prior Bank of America project/change experience
  • Experience in implementing HRMS, health and Insurance, payroll, talent management and/or learning systems
  • International transition project experience
  • Graduate Degree
