About Our Client

 

Our client is an investment bank and financial services provider. They are looking to hire an analyst/team leader for their Trade Finance Operations division. The Position is responsible for the processing of export letters of credit, preparation of client and management reports and performing various control and miscellaneous functions as assigned. The Position is a subject matter expert on letters of credit and document checking and is thoroughly familiar with transactional monitoring and escalation procedures for Trade Finance. The Position reports to the Manager, Trade Finance Operations.

Job Description

You will be responsible for:

  • End to end processing of Export Letters of Credit transactions
  • Primary checker for export LC documents
  • Conduct transaction monitoring according to MAS guidelines and Bank policies
  • Preparation of client and management reports

The Successful Applicant

As a successful applicant, you would have the following Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in export letters of credit with 5 years of solid experience in document checking;
  • Solid understanding of UCP and international banking practices;
  • Solid understanding of various SWIFT payment and trade finance message types;
  • Knowledge on import L/C processing, loan administration and risk participations is an added advantage;
  • Good understanding of MAS Guidance on Anti-money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Controls in Trade Finance;
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications, in particular EXCEL and WORD;
  • Good verbal and written communications skills;
  • Able to work in a small team setting and support various processing functions.
