HR Business Analyst (8429BR) New York, New York

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Business Analyst reports to the Project Lead and is accountable for contributing to the successful delivery of the FT Program through documenting process flows for the Core Finance / GL Workstream. The analyst will develop future state process maps; facilitate process mapping exercises; work with project team members to ensure successful completion of process and requirements definition; and translate finance business community needs into information systems requirements. On a regular basis, the analyst will coordinate meetings across the Finance organization.  

  • Define Business Process Inventories
  • Develop end-to-end business process map
  • Validate business processes related to the general ledger in the general ledger area including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, intercompany, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidations, tax and subsidiary billing
  • Validate the merit and applicability of process improvement initiatives
  • Work with Business Process Owners to develop rollout plans
  • Produce and maintain process documentation (e.g. business rules, data models, policies, standards, etc.)
  • Organize and document process improvement and mapping meetings
  • Coordinate mapping activities with Project Lead

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of equivalent work experience, is required;
  • Business process analysis / improvement experience in the Human Resources arena;
  • Development and delivery of human capital metrics, diversity metrics, talent acquisition metrics, etc. using a variety of data sources;
  • Project administration and / or project management experience;
  • Requirements gathering and process documentation. SKILLS:
  • Client facing experience
  • Experience in mapping business processes using business process modeling tools (e.g. Visio)
  • Experience leading data-modeling and process mapping initiatives
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal / relationship and team management skills
  • Expert in use of the MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio)
