Compliance and Risk Analyst

Compliance and Risk Analyst Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Compliance and Risk Analyst for an opportunity in Jacksonville, FL. The Compliance and Risk Analyst will perform and analyze routine compliance assessments and provide general compliance support within an assigned business unit or vendor relationship. He or she will lead initiatives of varying scope and complexity and serves as a compliance subject matter expert and point of escalation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the gap management processes and tools for inventory and reporting
  • Serve as the point of escalation for customer compliance requests
  • Resolve or recommend solutions to mitigate or remediate discovered gaps
  • Balance vendor and internal resources to identify, monitor, and resolve identified risks
  • Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management
  • Lead the development, implementation, and management of compliance
  • Creation and updating of procedures documenting these (covering various vendor and internal reviews, risk questionnaires (SIG), assessment, monitoring and managing outcome)
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to existing programs, policies and procedures, as required
  • Identify and implement related controls and processes
  • Inform management of emerging risks, non-compliance exposure and mitigation efforts, and potential rule violations and related liability through escalation protocols, presentations, and routine reporting
  • Lead and/or participate in compliance initiatives or special projects as assigned, and as appropriate, support implementation at the business unit level
  • Oversee the gap management processes and present findings and/or completed projects amongst the departments
  • Routinely interact with Sr. Management on compliance risk trends, industry best practices and in formulating or assessing business risk appetite
  • Gain buy-in from team members and colleagues to coordinate workflow, escalations, and risk mitigation for identified gaps and compliance concerns
  • Routinely interact with and provides support to Data Furnisher clients in response to compliance inquiries
  • Promote the Governance, Risk and Compliance team’s programs through socializing risk concepts and initiatives, training and routinely involving Sr. Management, team members and co-workers
  • Foster open communication amongst team and peers to complete objectives and goals, including dashboard reporting, regular dialog, and early notification of emerging risks
  • Oversee the internal Risk, Compliance and Security Awareness Training Program
  • Project Management and Vendor Management (Program Oversight)
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop policies, processes, frameworks and tools to support the Project Management and Vendor Management programs
  • Develop and manage Vendor Dashboard reporting and horizontal views of trends, performance, and recommendations on best practices
  • Perform internal assessments to validate compliance with the Project Management and Vendor Management programs’ standards, report findings to senior management and participate in the escalation and remediation of key deficiencies
  • Develop policy and processes for Cyber Intelligence in support of brand, trademark protection and enforcement, and associated activities
  • Gap Management; develop processes and oversees management of security issues and risk based findings
  • Collaborate on the strategic direction of the Gap Management Processes
  • Serve as primary point of contact for GRC Department Retention
  • Collaborate on the strategic direction for Assessment, Reporting, and Tools
  • Manage, and at times, perform Ad Hoc Risk Assessment and Analysis
  • Oversee, and at times, perform in depth analysis of Information Security Tool
  • Configuration, Maintenance, Administration and Activity outcomes
  • Effectively communicate with business partners, customers, Sr. Management, team members, co-workers, and Regulators on regulatory rules
  • Develop relationships with key individuals from the different business units in support of the governance, risk and compliance objectives
  • Develop relationships and actively manages vendor partners to the objectives of the engagements

Qualifications:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in technology or equivalent experience
  • 4-6 years of experience in information security, audit, risk management and compliance related area
  • Certification Required: CISA, ABCP
  • Certification Preferred: CBCP, CBCA, ARMP, CISSP, CRVPM, CTPRP, CIA
  • Strong analytical ability, identifying potential areas of concern, connecting the dots and proactively identifying solutions and consequences
  • Presentation and communication, excellent oral and written ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external associates/customers/colleagues for the purpose of providing subject matter guidance
  • Interpersonal, able to address sensitive issues with confidentiality and sensitivity
  • Creativity, successfully finding solutions for ever-changing complex problems
  • Technology, required software and office equipment (MS Windows, MS Office Suite)
  • Organizational ability to prioritize effectively in order to meet deadlines
  • Coach-able with the ability to gain in-depth understanding and ability to improve upon current systems
  • Works independently and in a team setting with minimal amount of supervision
