Go (Golang) Developer Summary:

Signature Consultants has an opportunity for a Go Developer. In this role the candidate will primarily design and implement microservices that will integrate with and in some cases replace existing software components. Our client is seeking someone to develop new services, modify and maintain existing services and endpoints and work closely with end-users, IT peers and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and manage services in a containerized environment via kubernetes
  • Document the new applications, or the changes made to existing applications
  • Participate in unit, integration, and business acceptance testing of the applications
  • Troubleshoot application and system issues
  • Do whatever is necessary to get to your team’s “definition of done”
  • Stay current on emerging technologies

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-2 years in Go (Golang) + 3-4 years in another strongly type systems language
  • Must be highly skilled in Go, microservice architectures, CI/CD environments
  • Must have expertise in middleware patterns such as Rest, WebAPI. and service Bus
  • Well versed in data storage technologies such as NoSQL (Couchbase, MondogoDB, etc.)
  • Understanding of unit testing concepts and frameworks preferred
  • Familiar with an Agile environment and common tools i.e. Jira, Rally, Git
  • Participation and familiarity with open source projects is a plus.
