SharePoint Developer Summary:

The Senior SharePoint Application Developer/Architect will be member of a team of cross skilled technology professionals that are aligned with the Performance, Risk, Securities Valuation, Investment Oversight, Data Management, Multi Asset Class solutions, and Fund Board Relations business units for our client.  This position will be responsible for developing and supporting software applications for the aforementioned business areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Rollout, and Post-rollout support
  • Develop sound technical solutions to meet user requirements
  • Develop high level and detailed designs for assigned development initiatives
  • Develop and execute quality assurance routines to ensure quality of software
  • Assist in the planning, development and deployment of software releases
  • Resolve business-technology issues that impact Production processes and system availability
  • Support creation of detailed project plans, and help monitor and report on project progress
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with business units, and develop a deep understanding of their reporting/analytic/business intelligence needs
  • Strong interaction with end users, business sponsors, and team peers required
  • Create appropriate documentation and provide end user training as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
  • Master’s degree / Microsoft certification an added plus
  • 8+ years of software development experience on Microsoft technology platform
  • Investment management industry experience highly desired
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong business acumen and service orientation
  • Strong problem recognition and resolution skills
  • Analysis skills that can produce multiple viable solutions to a given issue
  • Develop and evaluate innovative solutions
  • 8+ years of experience with Enterprise Content Management and Collaboration technologies (preferably Microsoft SharePoint/K2)
  • 5+ years of experience with C# and .Net framework
  • 5+ years of experience with Batch management tools such as Tivoli Work Scheduler (TWS), and Scripting languages such as Python/PowerShell/Perl
  • Strong understanding of relational and multidimensional data modeling
  • Experience with database platforms (e.g. Microsoft, Oracle) BI tools (e.g. Tableau OBIEE), ETL tools (e.g. Data Stage, SSIS), and Reporting tools (e.g. BI Publisher, Microsoft SSRS) a plus
  • Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity, and coaches others to embrace change
  • Excellent attention to detail, and a great team player that thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work under pressure making decisions in a timely manner
  • Project planning experience a plus
