Castle Engineering are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well known, successful manufacturing business based in Ellesmere. Our client is a market leader in their sector and they offer a market leading training and development program as well as competitive packages.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:

• Working as part of the engineering team reporting into the Shift Lead Engineer you will play an instrumental role in both reactive and planned maintenance activities across the factory.
• You will attend a variety of machinery breakdowns and diagnosing and rectify faults in a timely manner ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times.
• You will carry out a range of planned maintenance tasks ensuring the online system is kept up to date and that stock is readily available.
• To record all spares removed from stores and request any non-stock spares for purchases.
• To Work with Engineering team and other departments to ensure the smooth running of the business and develop good working relationships with these departments.
• To communicate with production supervision to inform them of plan failure and expected duration.
• To assist the Engineering team with any required maintenance on site services, building fabrication.

The candidate:

You will be a time served engineer with relevant engineering qualifications and you will ideally have worked within the food sector or an other fast paced production environment. You will have both electrical and mechanical skills and experience and be keen to further expand your skills.

There are 2 shifts available for this role- 4 on /off dd/nn or rotating days
