A well-established leading food company based in Thirsk are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join the business on an interim basis. 

As Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Following set procedures and guidelines with respect to food safety, hygiene, health & safety etc
• Working with production responding to machinery breakdowns ensuring production downtime is kept to a minimum.
• You will be responsible for working through the PPM schedules and carrying out any machinery/wiring upgrades.

In return, the successful Maintenance Engineer will be part of a business that recognises talent and skill and will always promote from within where possible.  The shift pattern consists of days and nights. 

I am really keen to see your CV if you are a time served Maintenance Engineer and hold a minimum of a level 3 engineering qualification and have supporting electrical qualifications.  You will have an extensive background in a fast-paced production environment in both mechanical and electrical machinery and good interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction. You will like to work at speed, under pressure, be able to think on your feet and be a creative and diligent engineer.
