Maintenance Engineer (JR4562) Scarborough, England
Our large and well known food manufacturing client based in York is recruiting for an experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. Candidates who are multi-skilled but ideally are electrically biased are encouraged to apply for this post, especially if you are able to work on your own initiative and and like to work autonomously. Although you are part of a much wider team and business this role requires someone who is happy to work on their own initiative.
This role is working on a fast paced and highly automated production facility with new machinery. You are expected to have worked within the food sector previously and be able to work closely with the production team.
The role requires candidates to work within a 5s and lean manufacturing environment that is incredibly fast paced and demanding at times. Candidates should have this experience ideally.
You will be required to diagnose and rectify electrical faults and should have good knowledge and or experience of working on PLC's.
You will be able to work in a timely manner and be able to carry out preventative maintenance as well as attend breakdowns to minimise downtime in the factory.
You should have a positive attitude towards your work and be self motivated.
