Area Production Manager (JRMCSB) Scarborough, England
Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are working with a large, well known and forward thinking food manufacturing business based in Scarborough who are looking to recruit an Area Production Manager to join their business. Suitable candidates will have worked at a similar level as Production Manager, Shift Manager, Area Manager and within the food manufacturing sector or fast paced production. You will be a motivational leader who understands efficiency's, KPI's and wastage and enjoy working in a fast paced and challenging environment.
The successful Shift Manager
- Managing a team on shift of circa 20 staff you will be responsible for coaching, training, mentoring and leading from the front.
- You will be responsible for holding one to one review meetings with your team, reviewing performance and delivering KPI results.
- You are responsible for delivering operational targets to your team and for monitoring hourly KPI performance.
- You will lead from the front with area improvement initiatives and support the introduction on new technologies.
- Carry out compliance audits.
- Drive projects to improve efficiency's and essentially build and manage a high performance team within your operational area.
- Shifts: working 4 in 8 both days and nights (circa 42 hours per week) plus overtime.
You will ideally be working in the food sector and have previously managed teams in excess of 10. You will have a strong leadership style and be able to motivate your team.
