Engineering Stores Manager (VC4009) Doncaster, England
Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are recruiting for an experienced Engineering Stores Manager to join a large well known manufacturing business based in Doncaster. This role is part of the engineering team and candidates with experience of stock control and stores management are encouraged to apply especially if you have a good understanding of engineering terminology.
The role:
- Responsibility for the engineering budget and actively seeking to reduce costs where possible.
- Accountable for all stock control and document processing in the Engineering Stores.
- Ordering of all stock parts and daily engineering requirements using M3 Account Software.
- Liaise with the Accounts Department to ensure invoices and delivery notes are processed correctly.
- Upkeep of all engineering consumables.
- House-keeping within the stores area.
- Collaborating with the Engineering Management team in building up Critical Spares lists, Service kits etc.
- Generate reports on a weekly and monthly basis with reference to usage and spend.
- To work within the Companies Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Policies and Engineering Procedures and work instructions.
- To take responsibility for Health & Safety of yourself and others by your own actions or omissions.
- To work with Engineering team and other departments to ensure the smooth running of the business and develop good working relationships with these departments.
The candidate
- The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the stores processes, engineering terminology, have a background in working in a stores environment and be computer literate in the use of Microsoft Excel.
