Castle Engineering are recruiting a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a high speed FMCG business on the outskirts of Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Successful candidates will be multi-skilled and have experience of working in a high speed processing / production environment.

As the successful maintenance engineer you will be responsible for:

• Monitoring the plant and equipment and report on performance.
• You will attend machinery breakdowns and diagnose both mechanical and electrical faults; working closely with production to ensure downtime is communicated across operations.
• You will work across a number of ongoing installation and upgrade projects and ideally be able to install and commission new machinery / lines etc.
• You will be responsible for the management of contractors on site and for providing a detailed handover at the end of your shift.

The candidate:

You will be multi-skilled ideally with an electrical qualification and you will be a time served engineer with a strong track record of working in high speed processing environments. You will be able to read electrical and mechanical diagrams and have previous installations experience. Ideally you will have worked within a LEAN culture and have always contributed to driving continuous improvements across the plant and equipment. You will be self motivated and highly driven

Salary:

£37,000 to £38,500
