Castle Engineering are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer / Senior Engineer to join our fast growing food manufacturing client working Monday to Friday rotating day shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Leading and Managing the companies engineering resource as well as attending breakdowns and carrying out planned and routine maintenance. 
• As the Senior Engineer you will manage engineering activity including planned maintenance, breakdowns and continuous improvement work. You will be responsible for the root cause analysis of all downtime and take ownership of the site planned maintenance programme. 
• You will also take ownership of the engineering stores inventory control and ensure that the company health & safety standards are complied with and safe working practices are adopted. 
• You will work with team leaders and their operators to optimise equipment and ensure short internal control targets are hit.

The successful candidate will be a Multi Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias, have electrical qualifications and be working in a food manufacturing environment or have recently worked in the food industry. You will also have working knowledge of invertors, control systems, fluid mechanics, drive systems and working knowledge of pneumatics.

Ideally the successful candidate will have LEAN manufacturing experience including 5 whys, DMAIC and SIC. Welding and machining experience is also desirable.

This role is a 6-2, 2-10 Monday – Friday role offering a salary of up to £35k doe.
