Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical bias - Food (JRYO75) York, England
Castle Engineering are working with a well known food manufacturing business based on the outskirts of York and due to promotion are looking to recruit an experienced mechanically biased engineer to work within this small engineering team.
Candidates who are multiskilled are encouraged to apply for this vacancy also especially if you have worked within the food industry previously.
The role:
- Day to day duties will include planned maintenance checks, start-up and shut-down of plant machinery, breakdowns, fault finding, continuous improvement, installations and projects.
- Liaise with Production Department to provide pro-active support to ensure efficiency and smooth running of all departments
- Machinery to be worked on includes – Jarvis, Cryovac, Grasselli, Siebeck and Whizard Trimmers
The candidate:
- You will have an ONC in engineering or equivalent is desirable and be able to comply with all company ISO, SAP & HACCP procedures
The successful applicant will need to be organised and assertive, self-motivated and able to work under own initiative, maintain attention to detail whilst working under pressure and be able to communicate well. All applicants are expected to be flexible with regards to hours worked, to meet with the demands of the business, you may be expected to work some additional hours in order to provide cover/support, however this will be discussed with you and reasonable notice will be given.
