Senior Process Technologist - salary to £35,000 - North Yorkshire Food Business
Our client is a fast growing, diverse and successful food business based in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Due to continued growth they are recruiting a Senior Process Technologist to join their team.
As the Senior Process Technologist you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of products from approved concept through to launch ensuring all products meet the required quality, legislative and safety standards, achieving the best methods of manufacture.
You will be expected to challenge current factory processes, you will suggest improvements and work with internal teams to deliver effective change which delivers operational improvement. You will support the investigation and evaluation of innovative new process technology to improve existing practices.
In addition you will work closely with NPD in their development of new products to ensure full product knowledge on hand over and be responsible for the writing of specifications for key account customers using their web interface packages, and be responsible for approving art work
You must be passionate about the food industry and have previous experience within a process or technical background. You must also be able to manage your time effectively, balancing customer demands with commercial targets.
Ideally you will have a degree in a food related subject and have at least 3 years experience in a similar role.
This role involves supervising staff and you will need to take accountability for ensuring the good quality output of your teams work. We are looking for individuals with a Pro- active and positive approach who are flexible, reliable, and accountable. You should be able to work as part of a team and motivate your team to get the best from them. Having a “can do” attitude is vital.
