Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are working with a well established and highly progressive food production business who are recruiting a Shift Manager to join their on site leadership team. The Shift Production Leadership team are instrumental in the growth of the business, managing diverse teams on a daily basis. The role of the Shift Manager includes:

• Management of the day to day production plan ensuring schedules are adhered to and staffing levels are managed in accordance with the plan.
• You will be responsible for ensuring production costs are minimised and any spending is done within budget inline with production volumes.
• You will manage and motivate a team of 15-20 but will need to focus on recruitment of additional staff as the business grows. You will also be expected to carry out effective training of your team and up-skill when needed ensuring a solid succession plan is in place.
• You will be responsible for driving GMP and continuous improvements across the shop floor as well as being responsible for the quality of goods produced and packaged.

The successful Shift Manager must be highly motivated, career driven and a self starter. You will be able to work with little direction and have excellent communication and leadership skills. Ideally you will have worked in a chilled fast paced FMCG environment.
