Castle Employment are recruiting an experienced Shift Manager to join a market leading, growing food manufacturer. As the Shift Manager you will be responsible for leading a small shift day to day ensuring all production plans are met and H&S on-site is managed. You will lead a skilled team of Operational, Engineering and Dispatch staff ensuring targets are met and food quality standards are exceeded.

The role of the successful Shift Manager will include:

• To manage the day to day shift production operation ensuring the factory is running safely, efficiently and effectively at all times.
• Ensuring the site is audit ready for both BRC and customer audits at all times.
• The Shift Manager will ensure maximum production output of right first time, quality products with minimum wastage within a safe working environment that meets the company and customer housekeeping, hygiene and quality standards.
• The role of the Shift Manager is that of a front-line manager in the factory to keep production running. This is supported by the Operational Team Leaders, who will also deputise to cover the Shift Managers holiday/ sickness absence.  

 Skills and experience required:

You will have worked in a food manufacturing business previously and ideally have worked at Shift Manager level, however candidates who are working at Supervisor level are also encouraged to apply for this role. You will have first class communication skills and be a highly motivated team leader who encourages positive and high energy performing teams. 

Shift pattern.

Rotating weekly- Week 1 6am until 2pm, week 2- 2pm until 10pm, week 3- Sunday to Thursday 10pm until 6am
