Castle Engineering are recruiting a skilled and experienced mechanically biased maintenance engineer to join a fast paced, forward thinking food manufacturing business based in Northallerton. As the maintenance engineer you will be working with a highly skilled, proactive engineering team in a time sensitive and fast paced production environment.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:

• Attending reactive maintenance problems and repair breakdowns in a safe, permanent and controlled manner.
• Ensuring machinery and services are maintained to meet individual department requirements, utilising the most appropriate maintenance regime.
• Assisting production as an engineer by timely attending any issues which occur during the running of the equipment.
• Working on engineering contracts and special projects.

The successful applicant will be a time served engineer with engineering qualifications to a minimum of level 3. You will be mechanically biased and will have worked within a fast paced production environment, if not a food or FMCG business in the past. You will be a quick thinker and you will work well under pressure with excellent communication skills and high standards.

Shifts:

Working a continental shift pattern paying up to £38,500 DOE
