Castle Employment are recruiting an experienced Production Planner to join a fast growing FMCG business based in the west Leeds area. Our client is undergoing site investment and growth and this is an excellent time to be joining their business. The role is working Monday to Friday and the successful Production Planner will be responsible for Taking control and developing strategic production plans.

The role:

• Assist in expediting and prioritising work orders to create production plan which meets customer demand in most efficient way.
• Partake in daily production schedule meetings.
• Enter Purchase orders for raw materials and subcontractors in an accurate and timely manner.
• Provide support to production and management as required and take charge of planning department to cover holiday periods.
• Assist in issuing and tracking production orders, ensuring that required material is supplied to the production floor, as according to the production schedule.
• Interface with manufacturing personnel, purchasing, etc on material status and production planning issues.
• Assist in the analysis of sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
• Progression of orders through production for customers chasing orders.
• Compliance at all times with our Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental framework and responsibilities.

The successful Production Planner will have worked within a fast paced manufacturing business previously and have excellent planning skills with strong attention to detail. You will have excellent communication skills and be a lateral thinker who is tenacious and able to influence others.
