Castle Engineering are working with a North Yorkshire based food manufacturing business who are recruiting a Nights based Engineering Team Leader working a 4 on/ off nights only rotation.
The successful experienced engineering leader / supervisor will be responsible for:
- Management of the site-wide engineering function on a duty rota basis.
- Developing and coaching the engineering technical support team to encourage flexibility and cross functional skills. Instilling a ‘fix it right first time’ attitude.
- Improving efficiencies and costs of equipment maintenance to agreed levels through targeted analysis, development and delivery of performance improvement plans.
- Timely, accurate and supportive communications between shifts.
- Ensuring all statutory inspections (including portable appliance testing, mains testing and pressure vessels) are managed and records are maintained in line with current legislation.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for energy saving across the site.
- Hosting visitors to the site, presenting the site and relevant department professionally.
You will be a solid time served engineer with a management / leadership background. You will be a multi-skilled engineer by trade and will be happy to attend machinery breakdowns as and when needed. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and have a proven track record of successfully managing KPI's and leading a successful team.
