Quality Assurance Coordinator

Quality Assurance Coordinator (VC7787) Goole, England

Salary: GBP24000 - GBP28000 per annum

Castle Food Manufacturing are working exclusively with a growing food manufacturer based on the outskirts of Goole who are recruiting an experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator to join their growing technical team. As the QA Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the Technical Manager on a day to day basis ensuring all food safety and quality standards are achieved.

The role of the Quality Assurance Coordinator will include:

  • Monitoring and moving toward the management of the internal audit matrix to ensure that all audits relating the QMS are completed by independent trained auditor, audits are carried out to the required standard and all corrective actions are closed out with effective actions in a timely manner
  • Operational support to production teams in all matters relating to production of good quality safe and legal products. Including when completing trials or new product launches ensuring that all required QMS formulations, recipes and process control records are issued via document control.
  • Monitoring and moving toward the management of the sites corrective action and non-conformance's systems ensuring all users are suitably trained, corrective actions and non-conformance's are being raised and closed out appropriately. Ensuring that corrective actions to identify the route cause are implemented and that any reoccurring issues are addressed.
  • Maintain up to date specifications for raw materials, intermediate specifications and finished goods.
  • Assistance and moving toward the management in maintenance of DSL milling software recipes as and when required and giving DSL support to operations teams when required.
  • Monitoring of sites KPI’s and generation of trend reports from internal and external testing and identification of corrective and preventative measures where tests identify any out of specification results.
  • Writing and training of Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions or other formats of training material as applicable to subject to enable knowledge transfer of food safety subjects to all areas of the business as and when required.
  • Deputising for the Technical Manager in all instances to ensure all key duties are kept up to date
  • Investigation and response to customer complaints. Completion of trend reporting and identification of corrective and preventative measures to reduce overall complaint per million units.
  • To assist on or lead customer or other external certification body visits and audits as and when required. To liaise with customers and suppliers other external bodies as required on and off site.

 

The successful candidate will be trained and qualified to a minimum of level 3 in both food safety and HACCP. You will be keen to progress your career within a growing business and have good leadership skills. You will ideally be working in a leadership role at present but candidates who are ready to progress to the next level of their career should also apply.
