Castle Food Manufacturing are recruiting for a graduate Specifications Technologist to join a market leading chilled foods manufacturer based in the Malton area of North Yorkshire. This is an entry level role for candidates with a relevant Food / Nutritional degree looking to make their first move into industry. The role:

As a Specifications Technologist you will work closely with the NPD and Technical team to deliver product specifications for customer prior to product approval.

You will ensure that the specifications meet all legislative and safety standards as well as ensuring the best methods of manufacturing are achieved.

You will be part of a team who are responsible for new design and development, gaining concept approval through to product launch.

• You will ideally 1 years’ Experience working as a Specification Technologist within the food industry ideally within ready meals.
• You will be/or will have worked in a Broad specification position and be able demonstrate proofing Artwork, Completing submission forms for new products and Communicating with all relevant departments including customers.
• You will have Experience in dealing with major retailers
• Desirable: Degree or equivalent in a food related subject
