Castle Food Manufacturing are recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated Technical Manager to join a leading food manufacturing business based in North Yorkshire. As the technical Manager you will be responsible for all food safety and quality across this growing business, you will be a dynamic and driven team leader with ambition to grow within the business.

The successful Technical Manager will be responsible for the technical and quality functions including:

• Management of internal quality systems including maintenance, upgrade and review of quality systems ensuring highest standards are achieved.
• Implementation and control of food safety systems; BRC, HACCP and GMP.
• Management of customer site visits and audits.
• Management of non conformance's- investigations and liaison with operations to resolve issues raised.
• Investigate causes of customer complaints and report findings along with recommendations for corrective actions to the Plant Manager.
• Manage and ensure the application of HACCP in all areas of the business. 
• To carry out all responsibilities and practices with the aim of producing food safely and to required internal and external specifications within a HACCP framework.

Candidates who have a successful track record of managing technical and quality functions within a food manufacturing business are encouraged to apply. The successful Technical Manager will lead a team of up to 10, have a strong, coaching leadership style and be able to manage both upwards and down. You will be highly driven and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will have a food science or related related degree and relevant HACCP/ audit qualifications.
