Castle Engineering are recruiting an Assistant Engineering Manager for a growing food manufacturing business based near Northallerton. The Assistant Engineering Manager will be an experienced engineering supervisor/ team leader and be looking for the next step up in their career.

The successful Engineering Manager will report to the site Engineering Manager and will be responsible for:

• The day to day coordination and management of a team of 19 engineers.
• You will work closely with production to ensure required maintenance is carried out in accordance with production demands and plans and that all equipment is available and in stock.
• You will coordinate a number of ongoing projects including upgrades, installations and CI initiatives.
• You will be involved in performance management, management of KPI's and recruitment for the team.

Suitable candidates will ideally have worked in the food sector or within a fast moving production business and you will have good working knowledge of LEAN and 5's. You will be a hands on engineer who is looking to progress your career within a growing business and you will have excellent communication and leadership skills.
