Castle Employment are recruiting an experienced Production Planner for one of our clients based in North Yorkshire. Our client is a leading, growing and dynamic food manufacturing business located on the outskirts of York.

The successful Production Planner will have responsibility for:

• Working as part of a team of 5 you will be responsible for planning production ensuring the  schedule of works is completed.
• You will work closely with the production management team to ensure the plans are accurate and you will be responsible for checking the execution on a daily basis.
• You will be responsible for long / medium term planning in terms of volumes etc to ensure longer term production goals and targets are met.
• As well as planning production you will also analyse production data- delays / interruptions to production and change plan accordingly.

The production planner will have excellent problem solving and communication skills, you will be comfortable working with senior managers within the business and be able to work with line operatives to ensure plans are met on a daily basis.

Suitable candidates will have previously worked in a similar planning position in the food industry and  you will have strong IT and communication skills.
