We are recruiting an experienced Engineering Supervisor/ Team Leader to join our forward thinking and expanding food production plant in North Yorkshire.  The successful Engineering Supervisor will be a hands-on engineer who has mentored or supervised other engineers on shift previously and ideally you will have worked within the food or FMCG sectors previously.

The successful Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for:

• The shift leadership of 2 engineers - allocation and coordination of workload, supervising the hour to hour operation of the team alongside the Engineering Manager.
• You will work alongside the shift engineers responding to production machinery breakdowns ensuring downtime is reduced.
• You will be responsible for ensuring legislative compliance; H&S, HR and compliance of technical.
• You will be responsible for maintaining a highly motivated team, leading by example, delivering updates from management meetings and ensuring KPI' are met.
• You will identify training needs within your team and work with your engineer to ensure they are fully trained and engaged in their role.

The candidate:

You will be a time served multi-skilled engineer ideally with electrical qualifications. You will have worked in a leadership/ team leader role previously and must have worked within the FMCG sector if not food production. You will be a highly decisive engineer who can make decisions under pressure and you will be driven to push your career forwards.

This role is working 4 on/off days only and is paying £40,000 plus overtime and benefits
