Production Supervisor - Nights (VC9309) Malton, England

Our client is a market leading food manufacturing business based in Malton and we are looking to recruit a Production Supervisor to work a night shift- Monday to Friday. Ideal Production Supervisors will be from a food, packaging or FMCG background and you will have managed production teams in the past.
The role of the Production Team Leader is to manage and oversee all operational aspects of food packaging. This person will ensure best in class in delivery of all standards relating to food safety, Food quality, people management, health and safety, cost, customer demands and legal compliance.
The role:
- To ensure that the shift members being asked to carry out tasks and operations are trained safe and capable to do so
- To utilise the staff members on shift to execute the agreed production plan safely, on time and in full in terms of food safety, yield, quality and volume.
- To arrange for cover as appropriate, when team members are absent. Holidays and request for leave to be properly authorised.
- To manage Agency interface re workforce planning
- To perform standard yield, quality, volume and cycle time reporting and to details reasons for failure to meet standard – either positive or negative.
- To conduct return to work interviews and disciplinary actions as required
The ideal candidate will have worked in the packaging, food manufacturing or FMCG sectors and have supervised production teams. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to lead by example and keep your teams motivated throughout the course of the shift.
The hours are Monday to Friday 10pm until 6am, we offer 25 days holiday plus 7 Stats and an excellent working environment.
