Castle Engineering are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer who has worked within the food or packaging sectors to work on a days based projects and installations role. Our client is looking for a proactive and skilled engineer who would like to use their knowledge of repairing and maintaining packaging machinery and move into a projects/ development role.

Reporting to the Projects Manager the successful Engineer will be responsible for:

• Assisting and supporting the factory maintenance function with both “hands on” and with technical knowledge to improve all aspects of business efficiency.
• You will be heavily involved in the continual improvement of machinery change over times (SMED) leading to increased machinery “Up Time”.
• You will be the main point of contact for contractors/ external companies for works to be carried out onsite.
• You will assist in the development of technology and machinery efficiency's making machinery modifications/ upgrades where needed.

Ideal candidates will have worked within the food or packaging sectors and have excellent working knowledge and experience of upgrading/ modifying packaging machinery. You will have been involved in machinery installation and commissioning projects throughout your career and have excellent organisational skills.

This role is working Monday to Friday- 8am until 4:30pm.
