Shift Engineering Technician/ Maintenance Engineer (RL4983) Sherburn-in-Elmet, England
Castle Engineering are working with a highly reputable food manufacturer based in Sherburn In Elmet who are recruiting a Shift Engineer to join their team. As the Maintenance Engineer on shift you will work as part of a strong positive team who are responsible for all reactive maintenance across the plant. You will be a time served engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias but ideally multi-skilled.
The role:
You will be responsible for attending breakdowns and diagnosing both electrical and mechanical faults in a timely manner.
You will be responsible for carrying out repairs to the machinery and site equipment working as part of the team to complete the repairs within tight timescales.
You will be responsible for ensuring long term fixes are identified and any remedial work planned for and carried out.
Ideally you will be able to work alongside the operators ensuring basic training and understanding of machine maintenance.
You will ensure that critical spares are readily accessible and ensure parts are ordered when low and needed.
The candidate:
You will be a time served engineer with either bias but ideally multi-skilled. ideally you will have your 17th edition and an understanding of PLC's. You will be forward thinking and a positive team player who is looking to develop their career.
